Every month a team of people go out onto the streets to show God’s love by praying for people who need healing. The Healing on the Streets (HOTS) team is led by Jackie Tearle and can be found outside Birmingham Cathedral on the fourth Saturday in each month from 1-3.30pm.
Jen Miskov recently wrote about her experiences:-

“Do you want free prayer?” I asked a curious woman walking past. “It’s really free?” she replied with a glimmer of hope in her eyes. This lady, with her husband and child tagging along, came and immediately sat down in the chair and was eager to finally get rid of the migraine headaches she had been having for so long and even had that day.
Another young man received prayer for his leg that was in a cast. No visible changes occurred that day but when we came around the following month, he excitedly came up to us and told us that God had healed him and he removed the cast and was jogging the week after we prayed for him.
We have seen legs grow, one kid grow taller, a sore lip healed, a clubbed foot with arthritis made straight, as well as other physical healings.
While admittedly we do not see spectacular things every time we go to the streets, and while everyone on the team will probably admit to having to step through some personal fears their first time, overall, bringing the kingdom of God to the people in the heart of the city is one of the most incredible privileges ever.”
